Memorable Concert Moments

Clemson
Luxury played a show in a bookstore in Clemson, SC. They were set up in narrow hallway. It was so packed the band actually played in a single file line. Lee was in the front followed by Jamey, Chris, and Glen.

Cornerstone 1995
Just a few days before the accident, Luxury rocked Cornerstone. The stage area was packed with members of Starflyer, The Prayer Chain and other Tooth and Nail related staff and bands. At the end of the show Jamey apparently got tangled in his guitar cord. He jumped up quickly and then his guitar slammed to the ground. Chris and Lee looked on bewildered. Lee's bewilderment changed to laughter.

Tennessee - 1996/1997
Luxury had committed to play a show in Tennessee, but Glenn was unable to go. Jamey and Chris put together a set with just keyboards and synthesizers. Midway through "South" Lee broke out singing "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

November 11, 1999 - The Mainstream Comeback show
In the first show since the self-titled album the band was going through the set. When they came to "Perpetua Simone" Lee said 'We don't know how to play this song, put on the cd.' The soundman put on the cd and the band played air guitar/drums and lip-synched the entire song.

April 7, 2001 The Beanery in Athens
Before one song, Lee asked someone in the crowd for a cigarette. He then proceeded to light up while the band launched into "Goody Two Shoes," with Lee smoking and posing with the cigarette the entire song.

April 8, 2001 - The Greenhouse in Dunwoody
Luxury finished their set and left the stage. Everyone was calling for an encore, but Lee came out and apologized because Aaron didn't know any more songs. Chris Dentel yelled out for Lee to play "Hell or Highwater." Lee said something to the effect of, "That's a good song, isn't it?" Everyone cheered and Lee started the song. He had to be prompted by the crowd as to how the song began, and soon forgot most of the lyrics. It didn't matter because everyone was singing along anyway. After "Hell or Highwater" the band conferred with one another trying to figure out a song they all knew. They came up with "Perpetua Simone" and played it beautifully.

July 3, 2002 - Cornerstone 2002
When getting ready to play "To Conquer and Destroy" Lee said "Normally, I play guitar on this song, but I can never remember the words." He proceeded to get the lyrics wrong after the first line, going into the chorus too quickly "Here I am, Here I am, To destr..." At the end of the song, It all fell apart and Lee lost the mike and just starting going all over the stage. Apologizing at the end.
